There are steps in our roof!

With the SIPs in place, there is a step at the transition to the porch roof and another at the eave.

This picture shows a facia board in place at the edge of the eave. We'll remove the bracing and add OSB decking. Then we have to continue the slope of the SIPs until it meets the porch roof.

Before covering the eave, we leave a note in case This Old House comes here in a hundred years or so. (We've always been optimists.)

Here's the facia from the side. We added a 5/4 trim piece at the top to create a "shadow line."
